Multi-Solutions systémiques aux enjeux de notre époque

Ou, comment changer un système qui ne veut pas changer…

Il est désormais clair que presque tout le monde s’accroche à un système qui est en palliatif – en passe de s’écrouler.

Mais comment changer ce système ?

Non pas en déclarant au niveau fédéral, mais en prouvant sur petits territoires et dans des secteurs précis que les solutions sont meilleures que les anciennes recettes. 
Extrapreneurs – labo de formation et d’incubation (qui vient de boucler sa 5° édition), et Club of Brussels (Centre d’excellence en économie systémique) nous proposent des solutions systémiques, “multisolutions”.

Car oui, si chacun répond à plusieurs enjeux historiques, nous développerons des millions de façons d’y répondre. C’est de l’arithmétique.

1. Formation au métiers et skills de demain: chacun devient formateur d’une compétence qu’il aime et maîtrise, et l’amener via une plateforme de formation de pair à pair.En Belgique 4,6 millions de personnes vont devoir se former à des compétences que parfois nous ne connaissons pas encore. Le vieillissement de la population provoquera un manque de plus d’un demi million de personnes sur le marché de l’emploi (Etude Agoria).Nous proposons de sortir de ce paradigme matriciel où “des cases doivent êtres remplies coûte que coûte”, quitte à ce que le “travailleur” se fasse violence dans un travail qu’il n’aime pas – pour remplir des fonctions qui ne sont en réalité pas vraiment nécessaires (bullshit jobs). Et d’entrer dans un paradigme où chacun développe le meilleur de soi, se connectant du coup à son “Ikigai”, porté par du sens. Ladite “productivité” augmentera sensiblement et les fonctionnalités vraiment attendues seront remplies de façon originale, hyper-efficaces – et non pas hiérarchiques et inefficaces. De nombreuses personnes s’orienteront vers des métiers plus porteurs. Le Airbnb de la formation professionnelle, où chacun devient coach-formateur de quelqu’un d’autre, voilà la proposition. Le test a été fait: en deux semaines, n’importe qui peut devenir formateur d’un sujet qui l’intéresse. Du coup, le formateur devient “transformateur”.

2. Ikigai et montée en puissance individuelle
Il est largement observé que l’éducation héritée d’une autre époque ne répond plus aux besoins de la prochaine décennie. Agilité, adaptabilité, résilience, confiance, collaboration, cohérence, communication équilibrée, leadership individuel et d’équipe, sont les prochains “hard skills”. La pédagogie totalement “has-been” ex-cathedra avec reproduction “perroquet” à l’examen doit être revue. L’intention même de l’éducation également. Non plus “rentrer dans les cases” avec un programme prédéfini, mais un “trajet vers sa propre excellence unique”. Ikigai, dans la culture japonaise est ici une inspiration forte. Car elle mène au bonheur et à la longévité, ainsi qu’à l’hyper-productivité. Ce trajet a été appliqué aux extrapreneurs qui ont pu avancer d’un grand bond vers leur excellence unique. La feuille de route Ikigai – qui ne termine jamais car elle continue à se s’adapter tout au long de la vie – a été développée par une équipe.

3. Traitement décentralisé des déchets, gardant les ressources produite sur place pour utilisation locale.
Environ 75% du volume de déchets produits est transporté, centralisé, incinéré ou mis en décharge. C’est totalement primitif. La proposition systémique ici est de les traiter sur place, de les transformer en ressources utilisables localement (compost, sable, carburant,…). Le tout avec des mini- ou microstations. C’est moins cher, avec un impact environnemental sensiblement diminué. Mais, cela demande une véritable collaboration entre acteurs locaux et un changement des réglementations en vigueur. Le projet Metabolism en a fait sa raison d’être.

4. Les cercles d’affaires régénératifs, créant ensemble, des projets innovants à valeur ajoutée multiple et amenant réputation, talents et nouveaux clients

Le monde post-covid a changé et demandera une toute nouvelle agilité et collaboration locale de la part des entrepreneurs. Ceci afin de développer une nouvelle résilience locale autour des “fonctions vitales” de la société. Des nouveaux “Wise Impact Circles”, cercles d’affaires d’acteurs locaux se sont créés, afin de travailler ensemble à l’élaboration de projets à valeur ajoutée sociale et environnementale. Ces projets vont attirer de nouveaux clients, diminuent les coûts, attirent les meilleurs jeunes talents le tout en intelligence collective de manière disruptive. Ce sont en quelque sorte les cercles d’affaires 2.0 de “leaders éclairés” remplaçant les loges et clubs où ne viennent plus que les consultants dans leurs zone de confort. Comment diminuer les externalités négatives, rester concurrentiel et entretenir une certaine croissance dans son secteur sans détruire l’environnement ? Les réponses à ces challenges ne peuvent se trouver qu’au travers d’échanges constructifs, de créativité et de partenariats locaux intégrants des stakeholders partisans de la pensée systémique.

5. Jus végétaux fermentés en vrac
En utilisant des brasseries existantes et en créant des alliances avec des producteurs locaux, de tous nouveaux jus végétaux sont brassés – bio et local – et amenés en vrac avec dispenseurs. Des recettes nouvelles à base de céréales, complétés de saveurs  de fruits ou légumes sont imaginées afin d’amener un maximum de nutriments au corps humain et de valeur aux agriculteurs et producteurs locaux. Nous sommes bien loin des boissons sucrées aseptisées venant du bout du monde, provoquant diabète et hypercholestérolémie…

6. Immobilier locatif éco autonome et accessible
L’habitat résidentiel doit aussi être revisité. Des maisons plus petites, plus simples à gérer, moins chères, autonomes en énergie et en eau, dans des ensembles intergénérationnels, avec environnement vert et productif. Un projet de 9 unités et espaces communs multifonctionnels est en est au stade du permis d’urbanisme en Brabant Wallon. Le tout sera construit par une entreprise belge avec du bois belge. Cette approche est déclinée dans des projets Extrapreneurs notamment en Afrique, sous le dénominateur de “Smart Green Villages”. Nous sommes loin des “cités dortoir” bourgeoises devenant obsolètes.

7. Le Capital familial:
La crise du Covid-19 aura plombé les valeurs boursières, les revenus, ainsi que les valeurs immobilières (en plus des nouvelles réglementations énergétiques). Aussi, les valeurs immatérielles comme les relations ou l’émotionnel auront été challengés. Tout ceci superposé aux angoisses et aux peurs fait que de nombreuses personnes sombrent dans des dérangements mentaux qui aboutissent à de la destruction des valeurs familiales. Pourtant, la stabilité familiale est la base de la paix sociale. Pour désamorcer cette poudrière, une nouvelle approche de reconstruction des “capitaux familiaux” tangibles et immatériels, a été imaginée avec une dizaine d’intervenants. Quelques pistes de solution: constellations systémiques;  valorisation immobilière multifonctionnelle; apprentissage des métiers de demain; création d’une charte familiale ou transmission équilibrée des entreprises familiales.

Un monde « d’après » différent du monde d’avant ? Les appels se multiplient dans l’espace francophone. Mais il n‘est pas aisé de formuler des propositions ou un projet concrets qui fasse droit à toute la complexité et à toutes les nuances du problème actuel. L’économiste Michel de Kemmeter s’y attelle avec ses « Wise circles ». Précisions sur la démarche qu’il tente de pousser dans les cercles politiques notamment. Sans optimisme béat…

Ne pas revenir « à la normale »… Pensez-vous que ce message soit entendu par les responsables qui prennent aujourd’hui les décisions ?

Pour être tout à fait franc, il flotte déjà une odeur d’élections et il n’y a pas de réelle vision à moyen terme de la société et de l’économie. Tout le monde essaie de sauver les meubles. On peut comprendre, mais c’est une vision « en tunnel ». Alors que tous les voyants sont au rouge, on se limite aux urgences et on manque d’une intelligence

qui nous sont envoyés à l’occasion de la crise et surtout de trouver des solutions.

Gérer l’urgence, réfléchir à un autre avenir… Possible, simultanément ?

Oui, c’est notamment le travail des centres d’études des partis politiques. Mais pour y arriver, il faut créer, sur la durée, une forme d’intelligence collective associant les politiques, les citoyens et les entreprises.

Mais tout le monde veut-il vraiment un monde différent ?

Il est clair que certains n’ont pas envie. Demander à certaines instances de changer le système, c’est un peu comme si on demandait à une dinde de voter en faveur de Noël ! C’est signer pour sa propre sortie… Mais deux sortes de gens, d’entreprises et d’institutions sortiront de cette crise. D’une part, ceux qu’animera la peur de perdre l’existant. D’autre part, ceux qui n’auront pas peur, qui verront dans la crise une invitation à muter, à s’ouvrir à quelque chose de nouveau. On ne pourra pas forcer le premier groupe ; il ne fera pas partie de ce nécessaire travail d’expérimentation. Ces gens-là – qui représentent la majorité, je ne me fais pas d’illusion – vont suivre celui qui leur racontera une bonne histoire rassurante. Mais si, de l’autre côté, 10 à 15 % sont convaincus, cela suffira à créer un basculement. Ceux-là se posent les bonnes questions, ils ont fait leur choix philosophique de vie, pas de peur. Ils voient dans la crise un signal fort pour repenser leur business, leur mode de vie. Ils feront le choix de l’autonomie au lieu de la dépendance.

Il y a des gens merveilleux qui se posent ces questions et qui sont

informés. Mais eux aussi doivent se battre, ils ne pèsent pas encore suffisamment. Et au « sommet », cela ne percute pas encore.

Que faire ?

D’abord, il ne faut pas perdre de temps. Ensuite, il faut s’occuper des urgences. Pour suivre, nous devons repenser les choses en profondeur. Et c’est au niveau local qu’il faut agir : les communes, certaines intercommunales, les provinces. C’est là qu’on va remailler les choses et créer de la résilience. D’abord, il faut ouvrir un espace de travail physique copiloté par le public et le privé. Un endroit où on va mettre tout le monde ensemble pour réfléchir à la transition : entreprises, citoyens, politiques. On fait l’état des lieux des urgences sur les fonctions vitales et sur la société, sur les dangers de choc à venir. On identifie les ressources disponibles et celles dont on a besoin. L’étape suivante est d’imaginer des projets qui répondent à plusieurs de ces enjeux à la fois et apportent des multisolutions. Cela peut porter sur l’énergie, les déchets, le logement durable, l’alimentation, la formation… Enfin, lorsqu’on a imaginé un projet, on va chercher ailleurs ce qui se fait de mieux et on s’en inspire. Il y a des dizaines de multisolutions ailleurs dans le monde dont on peut apprendre humblement. Elles ne demandent qu’à être copiées. On lutte aussi contre l’angoisse en montrant des solutions concrètes qui fonctionnent ailleurs.

Mais encore ?

Commençons par 6-7 projets pilotes dans 3 à 6 communes flamandes, bruxelloises et wallonnes. On peut le faire, cela ne coûte pas cher et d’ici Noël, on marque l’histoire, en testant les solutions sur le terrain, en prouvant qu’il y a moyen de remailler l’économie localement. Ces exemples créent de l’intelligence de façon exponentielle, cela fait parler tout le monde avec tout le monde et cela permet de lancer d’autres projets créant du lien et apportant des multisolutions. Parallèlement à cela, on crée à Bruxelles un centre d’excellence sur la transition.

Et si on n’y arrive pas ?

Ceux qui veulent revenir à la situation antérieure vont se réveiller avec une solide gueule de bois. Et ça commence la semaine prochaine ! On risque une rupture de la paix sociale. C’est très grave ; c’est déjà arrivé au Chili, en France au Venezuela, en Grèce. Les joyeusetés ne font que commencer, sachons-le. On sait que ça va être difficile dans les dix prochaines années. A la prochaine vague, on boira tous la tasse. Par la faim, la soif, la rupture de la paix sociale ou de la paix dans les familles. Plus on attend, plus ce sera douloureux. On peut aller vers un effondrement par étapes. Nous sommes dans une mutation historique, jamais vue en Occident et il faut savoir anticiper les vagues. Ce n’est qu’en collaborant qu’on va pouvoir survivre et qu’on va pouvoir traverser ces épreuves. C’est un défi énorme : nous n’avons jamais été aussi divisés alors que notre survie dépend de notre capacité à collaborer.

Pas trop de raisons d’être optimiste, donc…

On ne change souvent qu’en cas de choc. Ce choc-ci a mis en mouvement des gens qui auront pris conscience et se seront posé des questions. Sur leur travail, leur entreprise, leur mode de vie… Cela permettra peut-être une remise en cohérence de l’individu face à sa propre vie. Il faut savoir que nous sommes les héros de nos propres vies et que tout le monde a un impact. Ce n’est pas l’état fédéral qui va nous dire « réveillez-vous et regardez la lumière ». Le changement dépendra de notre propre leadership individuel et collectif et de notre propre humilité.

Clearly not the political world. They have proven that they are not able to anticipate and manage correctly shocks and transition.

So now, whose turn is it ?

The lobbies, corporations and employers ? Because they would have the hand on salaries and products we need ?

Maybe…

Religious and spiritual leaders, like in the middle ages ?

Hm… Army ?

No. It is us. We have the hand. We have to choose.

Free the new slaves

After lockdown, there will emerge two very clear new groups of people: The ones that will have chosen for their true power, identity and unique added value, that (finally) decided to bring the best of themselves to the world. As citizens, companies, public institutions, cities or countries. These are tyhe people and organisations who will build new resilience communities.

The others — who will be afraid — will stay in dependance of whoever tells the best story. Those will be recuperated by companies and governments building their nevrotic strategies on fear, ego and control. This is where Big Brother high tech transhumanist scenarios gets to the next level. Also called “the new dictators”.

It is our own free will to buy into those. Nobody can force anybody. No in betweens any more. No grey. It will be quite a black & white choice.

After this and the next shocks, the new dictators will come over and say “we have the solution”. Whether they are political, technological, ideological, even pseudo-spiritual. Populists at large, they answer a basic need: 2nd level of Maslow’s pyramid, security. The need of security outside and around us is a compensation for a lack of inner security, being trust and confidence. In oneself, in life, in one’s projects and intentions. And that lack of trust is everywhere: in between families, neighbours, in politics, in business until top level world players. Nobody trusts nobody. It blocks banks to work together, companies, people, governments, citizens and communities. And why have we lost trust ? Partly because we have lost connexion with our nourishing mother, the Earth. Also because we are immature, and illiterate concerning what is truly going on for the moment.

BUT, we know we will HAVE to work together to succeed the transition of the next decade. If we don’t we and our companies will probably disappear (if we have to believe the crossing of hundreds of studies on the multiple historical challenges).

We have to re-learn to “be and work together”, build common purpose, serve common goals, for survival reasons, but also for efficiency reasons. Together, in collective intelligence, it just works better, faster, with less resources. Whether we like it or not.

But deep inside we all long for this sense of community and belonging. Each one with unique added value and identity.

So, the keys to unclock our prisons are choice for personal empowerment, autonomy, reconnexion, and purpose for communities and common good.

Those who do not will be locked even more by those WHO THEY WILL GIVE THEIR POWER TO, the new dictators: political, pseudo-spiritual gurus, pseudo-experts, brands and employers.

To make that choice, one has to win a few inner wars…

Inner wars

Third world war is global. In front of our eyes. War for power, without us realizing it. It is neither a nuclear war, it is elsewhere. And, there are 6 bloody fronts.

  1. Ideologies

Protectionism against globalization. Environmentalism against capitalism, people against the economy of money, artificial intelligence against collective intelligence, liberalism against communism. Dogma — limiting belief, is facing a new emerging consciousness of humanity emerging from puberty. The latest neurotic crises and jolts stress all sections of population — except those who have remained connected to nature, where there are no lies.

Our invitation: connect with nature by walking there with sacredness, and connect with our deep, universal nature, in order to bring coherent wisdom aligned with your true essence. That must manifest in daylight, and let it blossom in all its power. Ideology is not any more a tangible reference.

2. Technologies

The 90s, decade of globalization. The 2000s, decade of easy money, speculation, rapid growth, and derivatives of all kinds. The 2010s, a decade of everything to technology — which should solve all problems. One more lure. We will have neither the experts, nor the time, nor the money, nor the wisdom to develop, install, maintain and secure these successive layers of fragile technology. It will not “save” us. No way. The “smart” will soon become the “stupid”.

Our invitation: discern which technology will really bring true progress to the world, in reliable and systemic way. And build it on systemic intelligence and true wisdom.

3. Talents

Our era in which over 80% of the people are not motivated by their work, mass chronic illness, mass mental imbalance, and long-term illness, being the result of a people-crushing machine, the challenge of finding committed, talented, agile, collaborative collaborators is only a false surprise. Our population is aging — and the flow of fresh cannon fodder is drying up like our mountain rivers.

Our invitation: search, find and develop our Ikigaï. It doesn’t matter at what age and after which kind of career. Just follow our gut: do what you love, what you do well, what you can get paid for, and what the world needs. Take time to take off and land, and to acquire new depth and collaborative intelligence to get there.

4. Information

With the emergence of the “knowledge” economy, of the internet, of the smartphone, all the empty spaces we had a decade ago were filled up with a constant flow of messages to draw attention to multiple “direct and smart” businesses, creating a deafening noise, stultifying, preventing discernment what is really good for us.

Our invitation: clear our mind, to make ourselves available to these inner messages of our souls, and listen to what is really good for us. And once in a while cut this continuous chain of non-information disturbing inner peace, moving us away from our true quest.

5. Dependance against autonomy

It is the same as the war of fear against love, of ego against eco, and of power against personal fulfillment. Since the emergence of patriarchy, the power of the masculine above the feminine, on our land and our people, the easiest recipe to take control is to scare, fear, shocks. Today, more than ever, we live in an atmosphere of permanent anxiety, fueled by the global challenges accumulating in exponential hyper-complexity. On the contrary, autonomy begins with an inner act of faith, carried by love.

Our invitation: to make choice at every moment, for love, for personal power, for own responsibility to radiate the best of ourselves, in service of historic collective qualitative leap of humanity consciousness on this planet.

6. Inner wars

The one that each of us leads against own sufferings, traumas, inconsistencies, addictions, unfulfilled expectations. It is the hardest, because invisible, and experiential at all times. More than ever, we are centrifuged in an increasingly rapid terrestrial and societal energy. This centrifuge makes our attachments to the past heavier and heavier (our different “black points”), and therefore demands to really listen to them, let them go, to finally enter into coherence with our own truth and uniqueness — and eventually share them with our entourage.

Our invitation: feel what unbalances us in our whirlwind of life, recognize, thank, and let go, by feeling our deep light vibrate more and more strongly in our hearts. Whatever your job is — you will need it — especially if you are in position of leadership. Take time for yourself in this hurricane of change.

Free for real

So now, which are the antidotes against the power of “the new dictators” ?

Actually, “they” have shown all their cards. We know what we are up to if we give your power to “them”. But at some point you may want to free from those ties.

Here are some recipes:

  1. Do not fear, stay “in your heart” and joy, whatever happens. Control starts with fear and anxiety. Whoever is not afraid, and trusts life, will be able to be free. So reconnect to your feelings, body and planet. take time for yourself to breathe and calm down. Have fun, love life. This will lead to optimism. It is very contagious too — as well as fear and anxiety. Choose your side.
  2. Pleasure, humor and surrealism. “They” do not have any sense of humor so this is a very powerful tool… You must be kidding… 🙂 This is the taste, the color, the smell of the life. Pleasure is a key to strong relationships and even to unlock the mind to learn and create new connexions between different pieces of knowledge. Let’s be marvelous and candid as a child. At some point, letting go frees from whatever psychological slavery. It will be carried by joy and love.
  3. “They” will not have enough manpower to manage their plans and implement their strategies. Bright young talents will not want to contribute to those more than questionable agendas…
  4. Complexity and chaos itself. “They” hate chaos. Hyper-complexity created by multiple layers of “control, lies, incoherences and manipulations” will create entropy by design. And chaos will lead to social unrest. Social unrest — with faith — will disrupt wicked agendas. Complexity of global and historical challenges will go over their heads anyway. Over a dozen tsunamis are on the way to flood our western world in all dimensions. There is no way else than strong and open collaboration that will enable collective survival.
  5. “Inner and shared” instinct and energy. Individual and collective consciousness. This is our best skill, dashboard, tool to make decision in each situation of our business or private life. It could be individual (inner) and collective (shared) instinct and consciousness to feel the responses to issues. Listen to your inner voice, instinct and intuition. It never lies. It helps to discern what is true and what is a lie, who is in and who is out, where to go and what to avoid. Incoherences are so clear now. And this confinement gave time to lots of us to inform, learn, share, meditate,…
  6. Purpose, conviction, faith & trust. The skill to feel this value allows us to develop long term relationships and cooperate with other human beings. How could we replace impulses between humans by “simulated impulses” of a robot ? The strongest human motivation is purpose — the most powerful leadership skill is building purpose. No robot, no app, no tech can do that. No-one can kill that.
  7. Coherence, humility and authenticity. Feelings and emotions cannot be summarized by detection of medical parameters. For example: human beings can feel “subtle tensions between humans in a room”. Aligned, coherent (what you say = what you do = what you feel = what you are), athentic, no-bullshit, humble posture is better than “I know it all — listen to me”, blabla, no space for others — “I blow you off” — ego — kind of postures. It saves lots of times and cuts lures. Humility enables us to surf on energies and transforms hard ordeals into energy for our thriving.
  8. Alliances building, Inspiring relations, following synchronicity between people and projects. Close your eyes and remember one “event in perfect synchronicity” of your life between you and someone else or azn other project. This is magic that co-creates and expands our energy, our emotions, on which we can build strong future alliances.
  9. We are life hackers: creativity and imagination. The psychological survival instincts will push us into smart ways to invent new solutions to live and thrive. Human creativity is colossal when it comes to finding ways to thrive and hack their psychological chains.
  10. And finally, build the new near the old, and inspire with our successes. Like Transition Towns, Extrapreneurs or Auroville, economy can be made resilient, sustainable, regenerative, creating happyness and abundance for all, with coherence inside the new culture of value creation. Even whole countries have experimented some of this like Costa Rica and Bhutan, or even Norway. They succeeded to have amongst the best standards in the world in different areas.

Cultivating and developing these resources should be the best way to not become robots or transhumans, and to find the right balance and distances between us and the robots in order to focus only on the progress they can bring to people.

True leaders know that these are the keys to fulfillment of people and of companies.

An exceptional historical context

The covid-19 crisis is the first shock of this decade. There are dozens of convergent historical challenges upcoming. We will not be able to deal with them one by one. To enable us to deal with them, we will have to adopt a holistic-systemic view, develop methodologies and road books to more local resilience. 

This paper is about creating visionary and inspiring territorial pilot projects and initiatives to bring more coherence into our society – on all levels.

Today’s politics are facing those challenges, are tired and some of them even in a “tunnel vision”. Agendas are si!milar of those of before the crisis – fear has increased, trust is lowering. We are still quite divided. On most levels: regional, national, international and global. But the local authorities – on the contrary – are well in gear with local resources and dynamics.

The major reason for this checkmate is our linear and fractured thinking. This leads to “open surgery” often in the wrong places – sometimes creating more damage than solutions.

  • Coherent and aligned attitudes and personal evolution helps. This covid “compulsory retreat” has helped lots of people to question their own life, values, life rhythms, and will help to align and solidify their future.
  • This shock has stimulated creativity and willingness to collaborate and innovate together – connecting the existing dots towards more agility, efficiency and sustainability
  • The shift will not happen at once, overnight. It will start in smaller circles, communities, “islands of resilience” as we call them. And they will experiment and inspire, and as a virus, be contagious to other territories and companies. This mutation is happening globally, everywhere, we connect those and learn from the best.
  • The next growth model will be intangible, immaterial, but well connected to the tangible challenges. New ideas, models, strategic alliances, will emerge and solve historical problems in very new ways.
  • This shock also helped to refocus intentions: from individual accumulation and ego, to collaboration for common progress. We are realizing little by little that wer will not succeed anything sensible alone. All together, in collective intelligence, we will achieve much more that all alone.

Introduction

If the “post-Covid” is well managed, it could be as powerful as the post-war rebound and very invigorating for Western society. But for this rebound effect, requires having postures, visions, tools, reflexes, robust methods and processes. To date, unfortunately none of these ingredients are available by forming a coherent and understandable whole.

And if we wait, discuss without bringing a strong common vision, or if we stay stuck on an unattainable ideal, each passing day will cost between 500 million and 1 billion euros just for Belgium (money that we do not have ).

In this working document, you will find a draft of our first proposals, step by step, articulated respectively in “Top-Down” (messages and actions coming from above, from politics) and in “Bottom-up” (coming from field, businesses and citizens).

Because yes, as there are more and more people who are looking for meaning, fulfillment in their private and professional lives, consistency (bottom-up) – as much the economy itself must mutate towards more consistency, (top-down).

All of this is happening before our eyes.

But this will happen in stages, over a generation, because it is necessary to respect the level of consciousness, the maturity of each and of each company or organization. Some prefer to remain dependent on a system, others prefer to reinvent themselves, following their awareness. In the meantime, we will have to continue to show solidarity with everyone.

Because impossible to advance alone. We will not do anything alone – impossible. We are on the rope. The pioneers first, with their teams, the others then.

The next chapter of our western economy should be : 

  1. RESILIENT, AGILE and ANTIFRAGILE. Because this crisis is only the first one in this decennium. We need local “mangrove-ecosystems”.
  2. Solutions have to be SYSTEMIC. Because we do not have the manpower, time and money to deal with all challenges one by one. We need multisolutions.
  3. The vision should be MOBILIZING. Because we need the best of our people. We need heart-centered coherent businesses.

  1. Part A: “TOP DOWN”: from top to bottom

The Top-down pulse serves several purposes:

  • mobilize collective intention towards a common, virtuous, positive and optimistic goal
  • open a fertile space, so that actors on the field can enter it, and carry out concrete actions

The contexts, challenges and resources of each territory are different. It is imperative throughout the roadmap to respect the basic principles of biomimicry. Because it is this element that will ultimately offer resilience.

Take inspiration from nature, such as a “mangrove” economy. Learn from millions of years of experience in ecosystem survival.

The human being is only an actor forming part of ecosystems anchored in a context, a territory, a climate, a biotope. It is up to him to make the effort to understand its context, its ecosystem, in order to integrate it with humility.

If this fails, the human will disappear (well known Darwinian evolution).

To succeed, let’s first return to the basics of the system of humanity and nature…

A1. The Planet: wisdom to rethink our links, our projects …

We must find all possible wisdom before we start. It already exists. Map the continental wisdom – which is already there – of the so-called “originary – native – first citizens” people and cultures. Each continent brings a type of wisdom, an identity, a package of human and terrestrial resources. Because we will have to specialize, focus on the best of each continent, country, city, business, and individual. Define the specificities of each continent (using the 7D-Value for example). They’ve always been there, but we haven’t really listened to them. They are the wise men, the Indians, the Aborigines, the shamans, the spiritual ones, the marabouts, the monks, … Their testimonies are there, everywhere, on internet and Youtube. Let’s go get them, put them end to end, and you’ll see that they almost all say the same thing. Always. Moreover, European civilization is the only one to have imposed itself as dominant on its environment rather than as a participant in a system.

Add this to the wisdom of “enlightened” leaders. Not new gurus in love with their egos, but humble ones, serving the community. Go get them because they are not the type to expose themselves … They too, with their intuitions and visions, are ready to put in a collective work to align a global vision at the service of countries, cities, and businesses.

You have to ask them how they see people reconnecting to the best of their ability, the same goes for businesses. But also their reconnection to mother earth, their territory, their roots and origins, their cultures and their hidden talents.

And finally, invite them to make teams work together to reconnect to the common good, through new multi-solutions.

All of this will gradually lead to more flow, consistency and quality in human societies.

ACTION 1: Project on mapping global wisdom on wise attitudes and teachings 

A2. Continental analysis

Each continent will have to do the same with all countries and regions, with its “intelligentsias of wisdom”, in collective intelligence with its citizens.

Detect the unique DNA of each basin, region, country, its culture, its origins, its resources and its unique knowledge. To be able to highlight them and put them at the service of the challenges sometimes encountered on the other side of the planet. Talents, expertise, specific industries, ancestral knowledge, unique experiences. Also, it serves as an international “PESTEL”.

ACTION 2: We must draw up a balance sheet of risks and advantages for each country or region. This job would fall to the Committee of the Regions and the European Commission. And then communicate it, tell the story of each, with their assets and needs. But, let’s do it in a participatory way, and share our stories to inspire each other. Let’s take a great look at our successes and our learnings. In order to then be able to cross all this in a more local, more intelligent, resilient and robust mesh.

In the process, let’s do mappings of different industries, different sectors, different supply chains. This is to cut them where possible, to diversify them, and then to cross them – so that the need of one is met by the resource of the other. As in Kalundborg, but on a large scale (http://www.symbiosis.dk/en/). This is close to the idea of ​​the multi-dimensional circular economy but with, in addition, the intersection of ideas, knowledge, networks, common quests to be resolved, commitment, co-entrepreneurship, … this is where it will get really interesting!

The smurfs are adventurers, and go to discover countries and continents, and learn a maximum through meetings and challenges.

A3. Currencies

Single currencies are efficient, fast, but not resilient, very vulnerable. At the slightest shock and in less than a second, the waves cross the whole planet, all budgets. . Monetary resilience may be created by the multiplication of trading systems – complementary and counter-cyclical. When there is not enough of one, we take the other (see https://www.wir.ch/). 

So, in order, to create monetary robustness and resilience, we recommend:

  • Globalize SDR (ACTION 3: Special Drawing Rights) for global and intercontinental transactions – rather than using the dollar, which is still a national currency.
  • The use of continental currencies (Dollar, Euro, ACTION 4: AFRO, …) for international trade in continental single currency, where it does not yet exist (without making the mistakes of others)
  • The creation of national currencies. Yes, let’s give the national banks some work. Dare to strike change. In addition to the euro, the Belgian Franc for example. (ACTION 5)
  • The creation of ACTION 6 city currencies (such as the Bristol Pound, the Lumsou in Namur or the Val’heureux in Liège), enhancing local exchanges in the same city.
  • The creation and/or boosting by recognition (ACTION 7) of local individual-to-individual exchange currencies (SEL, LETS, Time Dollar). There are already thousands of them. Continue, legalize where necessary, and strengthen.

This monetary resilience will offer an antidote to the breakdown of social peace. Because yes, if the citizens are lacking in essentials, they get angry … and take to the streets.

You could call it a “fractal economy”. A fractal economy is made up of a multitude of different economies that are all interconnected and complementary, creating interconnected sources of resilience.

A4. Inspire the citizen with a strong message

To go to war, it’s not just the officers who are going to fight, everyone’s going to have to be involved. Each with the best of himself. With his talents and special gifts. There is no one too humble to participate in building this world of which we dream. On the contrary, humility is a human quality essential for questioning, and therefore for new discoveries, methods and solutions. Sometimes significantly simpler than we imagine. Look at the intelligence in developing countries, how they do so much more with so much less. This is precisely what is of value today: knowing how to manage, together, in joy and good humor. Many citizens have had to work on their own for sometimes generations, while others have fallen asleep in comfort sometimes hard-won. This collective awakening highlights resourcefulness and common sense, family cohesion, group cohesion, creativity and inventiveness, all driven by a desire for “real and human things”.

We have entered an absolutely extraordinary moment in history. Unheard of in human history. No, it’s not a lockdown vacation. At best, a forced freeze frame. On the image of a world going into a spin, destroying human lives, its environment and ultimately also destroying the economic fabric. A compulsory meditation, a fallow of intellectual fertility, a collective retreat. We were able to ask ourselves the right questions. This shock leading to questioning. And this leads to new, more “living” horizons. As in the life of a person who has a serious accident, a break or a sudden career change. And who afterwards, in hindsight, very often say “It was the best thing that could happen to me”.

So let’s take the best of what is happening to us: Questions on

  • Our lifestyles, consumption, functioning.
  • How we use resources and how we represent them.
  • Our way of living as citizens, the quality of our relationships.
  • Our way of living together.
  • Our necessities and our superfluous.
  • Our vision for the future.
  • Our common goal.
  • And, prepare for the next wave of challenges. Because yes, this is the first of the decade, not the last …

ACTION 8: A strong and coherent mobilizing message

Once emergencies have passed, a message must be given to citizens of all sectors, all regions and all statuses combined.

Let us build together the world we want to live in now! We need everyone, all pairs of arms, all talents, regardless of age, education, race or religion, “let’s make system”. If we really all work together, we will be able to build the world in which we dream of living. Let us stop destroying ourselves with fears and doubts – we believe in ourselves. Let’s begin without delay to collaborate and contribute to common challenges.

And what about growth?

Admittedly, it is essential that we continue to move forward. May we continue to move forward and improve our quality of life. But it is clear that not all of us, with almost 8 billion humans, can afford an ever more luxurious and effortless life. So, what “better” way forward? Towards a better one than we can afford. Towards a better human. Let’s play the game of nature, since we obviously cannot challenge it and develop man’s abilities. Let us develop well-being in order to give free rein to the development of new unexpected human talents. And each identity brings innovation. But for this development to take place, it is essential to provide everyone with a roof over their head, physical, social and mental health, which depends on the quality of relationships, education and a healthy environment. These are the bases to acquire for true human growth. Let’s explore our capabilities and develop them endlessly.

This is what we are proposing: immaterialism .

Yes, infinite growth is possible – and desirable – but this time at intangible, intangible levels: knowledge, new ideas, creativity, collective progress, happiness, sensoriality, relationships and communities of passions and mutual help tribes, … The costs inefficiency and entropy will be compensated by a new commitment, an awakened creativity. But, this will not come by itself… (see rest of the proposed Plan).

Material growth must be capped at a level that allows the earth to regenerate. We must develop our (intangible) ideas to regenerate our material world – or at least stop destroying it.

No longer “protect” our good ideas with patents, but open them to collaborations to enrich and develop them. Because moreover, there are many more good ideas than there are competent entrepreneurs to carry them out. Enhance existing intangible values ​​and put them at the service of the challenges of the territory in question.

Future growth is largely possible, by activating co-innovation, collaboration, collective intelligence. It will solve our very tangible issues on resources, well-being and environment too.

Invite collectives to come together and co-create in incubation places (existing or to be created, even in each village, town …). Incubators, start-up labs, fablabs, coworkings. Co-piloted by shared public-private-associative governance through co-financing of the activity.

A6. Create and Operate a “Systemic Economy Transition Center & Taskforce”

In a rapidly changing world, we wish to take advantage of the opportunity which presents itself to Belgium to play a full role of initiator, leadership and actor of the necessary changes by using its strategic situation of capital of the European institutions “Brussels” where most of the embassies of large public development cooperation institutions are present, but also International Financial Institutions (IFI) of large environmental NGOs (Greenpeace, WWF Friends of the Earth), but also of international solidarity (Amnesty international CARE, MSF, MDM etc.).

The intention also is to develop over the long term world summits which will bring together the leaders of public international development agencies who have the capacity for a systemic reflection of development, so that a credible Alter-Davos can emerge, and thus promote and give weight and influence to Belgian representatives in international organizations around a new systemic and prospective intelligence.

And most of all, learn from the global best-in-class. No reinventing the wheel, but improving and adapting to local contexts.

A family approach, based on the different types of “capital”, basic pillars of family / social cohesion, necessary for building the future. As the crisis will have significantly influenced these various “family treasures”, especially tangible capital, the intention here is to enhance intangible, intangible capital, in order to give hope and rebuild citizen solidity. But without forgetting to bring a visionary intelligence to their real estate capital (to make their homes and possible rental units more sustainable and consolidate):

B5. Personal Development Management Roadmap

Growing in strength as a person requires to be reassured, informed, educated. It cannot be invented or improvised – the flower with a gun … Yes, everyone aspires to be fulfilled, to be happy, but the path to get there can be difficult. Each one being different, each culture and religion proposes ways, but each one will make its “shopping” according to the affinities.

But there are constants, stages, fundamentals, which come up every time. As a result, it is desirable to create outlines, roadmaps and exercises. There are already many people who have made their way, and they agree to put their experiences on the map, in play, in manuals, in roadbooks – in concrete, pragmatic, non-dogmatic ways. This by not only leaving free will and freedom to everyone, leaving him or her independently, but also without taking power or keeping people dependent.

The essence of the intention is really an “empowerment”: empowering everyone, “empowerment”, at the service of his well-being, and the effectiveness of the projects in which he or she participates. It will be a question of bringing together passions, talents, livelihood and service to the common good, as in the culture of “l’Ikigaï” . If you think of life as a flower, then the center represents “ikigai”, or what holds all of our passions, ambitions, talents and needs together. It is by taking responsibility for finding your ikigai that it will be possible to define the identity and values ​​of each business, company, locality, … and create a coherent whole. It will then be possible to align between what humanity wants to do, says to do and actually does.

Known pieces…

This plan simply consists in aligning the known pieces of the puzzle, of existing methods. We don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Everything is there. All of these are inexpensive and have the side effect of reconnecting people, building confidence, empowering individuals and teams, pragmatically innovating with existing and underutilized resources, and avoiding turmoil social…

The only “new” pieces are the Center of Systemic Excellence and the “Extrapreneurs” co-entrepreneurship (which is in its 5th edition). But the ingredients are already there, and they work.

Most of this is “brain juice” and therefore links existing points.

Glocal

Foster “GLOCAL” knowledge clusters (Cosmo-Local): global knowledge connected to local coalitions of actors on the ground. Boost local resilience communities, which contribute to common goods: alliances between citizens, businesses and local authorities, with contacts with science and optional media. It is a high added value leverage effect to re-mesh the local and regional economy, creating new businesses with multiple added values. This is why the economy can be made resilient in the manner of “mangroves”.

Stories and archetypes

Naturally, people respect values ​​much more than the law. How was it done to keep people locked up during confinement? It’s by educating them much more than threatening them with a fine. Or frightening them – but playing on the emotional, more than the rational. Because that’s how humans work. Human beings are transported by stories, they inspire them and help them to behave, to think, they have a far more important effect than a decreed law, or an imposed vision.

Archetypes allow everyone to hang onto something known, which in their brain “connects dowries”. In this way, the narrative connects to people’s brains by lowering the threshold.

Storytelling also relates to the emotional. If we want a commitment, that the “ready” people get wet to co-build, we must inspire them but while reassuring them, with method, steps, and positive emotions.

Conclusion

We are entering the most interesting period in known Western history. A collective restart, a quantum leap of consciousness, a major global mutation. Many new technologies and knowledge are emerging before our very eyes. And maybe, maybe they will offer new answers to old problems…
